The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the official eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2027 alongside the exam notification. Students who have completed or are appearing for their Class 12 (10+2) board exams from a recognized board are eligible to apply

Qualifying Examination Year
To be eligible for JEE Main 2027, your Class 12 (or equivalent examination) passing year must fall within a 3-year window:

Number of Allowed Attempts

Since JEE Main is conducted twice per year (Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April), an aspirant can take up to 6 attempts in total.
